Our Story
The Salem Group is an independent, multi-divisional strategic staffing and workforce management company. Salem, a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), provides world-class staff augmentation, strategic workforce solutions, web-enabled contingent/regular workforce procurement and management applications to better manage service delivery and talent supply chains.
Salem was founded more than 35 years ago in Chicago. Continuity of proven leadership is critical; the same executive team that founded the company continues to lead the company forward today. Before opening our doors, we conducted an in-depth market survey to determine if another staffing firm was needed in the Chicago area, and if so, what type. The overwhelming consensus was that there was a need for another staffing firm, but one completely different in every way — from design through execution. Thus, The Salem Group was born, fueled by the market’s need for a firm that truly offered strategic, customizable solutions.
From Salem’s origin as a single office in the Chicago Loop, our company has become one of the largest and fastest-growing staffing firms in Chicago and beyond. As an award-winning and highly acclaimed staffing firm, Salem partners with leading national organizations to provide them with superior talent and exceptional strategic managed staffing solutions.
